Then head on over to the Farmer’s Market on Main Street for lots of locally sourced seasonal produce, hand-crafted items and entertainment. Get that perfect gift for ‘you know who’ – Because you’ve got to home sometime! Don’t go empty handed.
And because you only live once, head out to historic Mesilla for some fun western history and heritage. Get to know a little more about the original bad boy, Billy the Kid. Follow that up with some retail therapy browsing the unique shops in this hidden gem of a town and then settle in for girl time and an authentic Mexican lunch and a libation or two. And then get ready to kick it! The band is warming up.
The music rocks under the night sky on Saturday night with Grammy Award-winning Gretchen Wilson. She’ll have you singing along to “Redneck Woman.” Country Hall of Fame inductee and six-time Grammy winner Ronnie Milsap is sure to have the crowd kickin’ it to their favorites. JessieG, a frequent opener and protegee of Gretchen Wilson brings her own brand of country and girl power to the stage to round out one epic evening of music.
Sunday Funday – ‘Cuz CMF is More Than Music.
It’s Sunday and time to trade in those boots for some running shoes! Get in on the fun with the Giddyup Gallop 5K. And if your posse is not quite 5K ready, check out the Fun Run. Get your pals and jump into the fun for braggin’ rights and the best selfie ever.
A trip to Las Cruces is not complete without an up close encounter with the iconic Organ Mountains. Put on your hiking gear and just do it! If the Wine and Ale Trail is more your speed, no shame! Give that glass a swirl, girl. And you’ll see some of the best Southwestern scenery on the way.
